Title: Supplements for tears?
Post by: Sharon on June 23, 2017, 06:08:18 AM
Any suggestions for supplements that aid in tear production?
I caanot tolerate actual meds for this (Salagen...) so I'm left with searching for altenatives.
I've tried Omega 3, sea buckthorn oil, maqui berry and flax seeds for this with no results.
Anything else I can try?

DHEA. A very small dose is sufficient to make a difference for me.

My doctor told me to start taking DHEA a few weeks ago. I think that may be part of why my symptoms have improved so much recently.

Thanks gals, I'll try it, though I had allergic responses to a few brands I tried in the past.

I had one that I loved and then they stopped making it, so I'm having it compounded. Basically all my money goes to my wide variety of treatments. I guess it's worth it. Otherwise I would have no life.

I take Maxi Tears, an eye doctor told me about them. I think it helps. Of course, I also use Restasis, so it is hard to tell.
