Title: Hylauronic Acid eye drops? And HA supplements?
Post by: cmclien on June 10, 2017, 08:49:21 AM
Is anyone using Hylauronic Acid eye drops? And if so, what type of improvement are you seeing?
I could not find any in the US so have ordered some through Amazon that are coming overseas and are called Hylo-Care.  I also recently started taking Hylauronic Acid supplement and a Collagen supplement 3 times a day.

Hi Cindi,

I find HyloGel eye drops (containing hyaluronic acid) are superior for relieving dry eyes in comparison to other eye drops. Concerning hyaluronic supplements, it did help me with joint & skin lubrication but the adverse effect was severe constipation for me.

Good luck!

Which one are you using?  They have the Hylo-Care, Hylo-Tear and Hylo-Forte drops.  I ordered the Hylo-care after reading positive reviews on it.

So far, taking the one capsule a day (100mg) of hylauronic acid along with the collagen (which helps against constipation) and a 400mg magnesium supplement, I have been alright in that regard.  I am starting to take it two times a day this week so will keep that in mind though!

I'm glad to hear you like the hylo product though.  I don't know why its not available here in the US as they've done clinical studies on it and it seems to really help with the moisture in the eyes.

Actually its called Hylo-Gel which is an improved version of Hylo-Comod which I started using over 15 years ago. I like it because it's more lubricating than other drops, so it's more soothing. Recently it's became OTC here.

Hope you do well with hyaluronic acid and collagen. For some reason this messes with my mind ..., like anything else that actually works ????

Good luck!

Hylo-gel does seem better than most, though the gel clumps up in th corner of my eye
and I have to constantly wipe the residue away.
