Good news: My insurance finally approved Orencia for me :)
Bad news: Looks like I have RA as well as SJS :(
Can anyone share their experiences on how Orencia has helped their RA or SJS symptoms
and if it helped enough so they didn't need to add additional meds?

Congratulations! Remember that orencia will take 6 weeks or more to go to work. For me the orencia has lessened the swelling in my hands and controlled the joint pain. Now I think I need to add a second line treatment since the joint pain has been worsening, but I shudder to think how bad my joint pain would be with out the shots. For the sjs, orencia has really helped with the dry ey as well as dry mouth symptoms. I actually did very well on the dry eye test where they put these paper strips in your eyes!

Good Luck with the Orencia. I'm very interested in how well it works for you, as I also have Sjogrens and RA. Right now, I am still on Plaquenil and having no major RA flares....but you know how that goes.... ::)

I couldn't even tolerate the Plaquenil.
Life would have been easier, I think, if I had.
