Title: Appointment - re Blood Plasma Eye Drops
Post by: Lotus1 on April 07, 2017, 06:05:41 PM
Hi everyone

I have an appt on Wed 12th April for blood plasma eye drops.
My opthalmologist reckons the drops will help my eyes so I don't need to give up office work.

Work are giving me more computer work.
I can't cope anymore.

Will let you all know how the appointment goes & what is involved.
It will be interesting.

Have a nice day.

Hi all

Last Wednesday I had 15 large tubes of blood taken.
If all is ok I will be able to collect the serum eye drops this coming Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'm informed the drops work well so hoping I'll get real help at work at last.

Stay tuned to hear how the serum drops are working for me.

Thanks Pete & Kathy.

Collection time is getting closer if all is well with the test :)

Sure wish I had the serum eye drops to test out for my big day on the computer at work tomorrow.

Will keep you informed.

Unfortunately I'm not having much success with the serum eyes drops, may as well continue using my current refresh eye drops.
So disappointing, frustrating......
I tried the serum drops in air con, not good so no much point trialing at work in the air con.
I think the added very small amount of saline (sodium chloride) could be the problem.
May trial them again at home today.
They gave me about 100 (3 mnths worth) bottles of drops/1 per day to trial so must have thought it would work.
I don't want to waste the drops, but can't see any point in trying to use them.
Nor do I feel like giving so much blood at present.  Maybe they would wait awhile before taking more blood.

The hospital says they can add something other than saline if it's the problem.

Your opinions would be appreciated.
Do you think it's best to let my opthalmologist (referrer) know I'm not getting on well with the serum drops and let him decide what next?
