For those who aren't familiar with this term here is info about myoclonus: http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/myoclonus/myoclonus.htm
I thought that this ended when I stopped taking Plaquenil, but over the past couple of weeks it has returned. I need to have blood work to check for possible metabolic disorder and there is potential it could be from my oh so messed up neck.
Just frustrated that this has started again, but have decided to tolerate it unless it worsens and disrupts my sleep.
One more thing. Oi,
Hi Sjogirl,
Your Myoclonus happens to what part of your body? Or your whole body? While you are sleeping?
I'm dealing with period 'jerking' of mostly my left arm, but recently also my core and legs, always when I'm awake.
Ain't we got fun?
I'm weaning off of Gabapentin since I think that may be the cause.
Hugs, Elaine
Mostly in my neck and shoulders, though occasionally half or whole body. This time it's more pronounced, so much that my husband can feel me jerking or vibrating (which is what it sometimes feels like my neck it doing).
It comes and goes and is sometimes not bad other times strong, no real rhyme or reason as to why.
Only new med I've been on is Evoxac and myoclonus is not even a remote side effect.
