I continue to work through this flare with a skin biopsy on Wednesday but in the mean time I just feel so spacy, buzzy and just out of it that it drives me nuts. I can't focus and the noise in my ears and brain is driving me nuts. It also makes me feel sort of anxious and I have an electrical feeling in my back (like a current, which is a parathesia). I feel heavy headed and just fogged out. Not dizzy, no balance issues just really messed up and no numbness anywhere, just neuropathic pain. I did do my 20 minutes of gentle swimming this morning in the cool water and it felt very good, no heat on the legs though - sunlight or hot water or wow is it bad. Is it a mistake to not check spinal fluid for protein with a clean MRI.
Dear trc, I don't know the answer to your question. But after 3 MRIs and 2 CT scans in ONE morning, I had the spinal fluid checked. Everything was clear, tho' I had profound neuropathy in two nerves of my legs and feet, and severe neuropathy in the third.
I also have Meniere's with horrible buzzing, in three part harmony in my right ear! And of course hearing loss.
I have everything and more and that's why I am crazy for sure. BUT finally I got the unexpected diagnosis of Primary Immune DEFICIENCY! go figure. And that explains that my Immune system is completely 'anti functional'. NOT protecting me, AND attacking me. Not with autoantibodies, but with some other biochemical.
The key is to keep breathing. really, pay attention to your breathing and it will calm you and center you.
Hugs, Elaine
The pool is my salvation.
Yes, the pool is a sanctuary for sure!
