I am really reacting badly this year to the pollen due to things growing now. It use to bother me some, but nothing like this year. I feel so inflamed, and it's harder to breathe etc.
I took an antihistamine last night, but I woke up so dry.
Have any of you noticed it more now where you live?

Don't know where you live, but I am in the East Bay of California. Yesterday I started with allergies. Never had them before. Nose, eyes, itchy skin, and breathing problems. I feel inflamed all over! I guess we are both on the same track of SJS progress. Hugs, Judie
After testing for allergies (pollens, dust mites animals, certain trees), I am getting 2X per wk allergy shots. This is the 5th week and they are helping!
We are suppose to get rain, and I will be glad. I hope it helps to clear the air for a bit. I also feel inflamed everywhere.
I hope you folks get relief soon, and glad the allergy shots are helping. My son had testing done, and they told him he is allergic to everything. I didn't know that was possible. He is taking shots too.

If people are cutting their grass, or we pass on the highway, grass cutters, on the side of the road, I lose my breathe. We keep everything closed tight in the car and the house. I love my windows open but close them when the neighbors starts cutting. Whew..
I live on the south shore of Boston and I have found the same thing. My sinuses are worse this year than they have ever been. Breathing at night has become a challenge.

I feel like I live in pollen central as I am surrounded by a high concentration of cherry blossom trees. It gets so bad here that at times cars are coated in a yellow film of pollen. I look forward to rainy days or even a brief shower to reduce the pollen factor.
My allergy symptoms have been strong for the past couple of weeks as March turned warmer than usual causing flowers to bloom earlier than usual - dryer and itchy eyes, sneezing, headaches and stuffy nose. I stopped taking an antihistamine last year as it was just too drying.
As much as possible, I try to stay indoors with windows closed. I wear a hood, hat or hair up when outside to reduce chances of pollen getting hair, remove outside clothes immediately upon returning home and change into house clothes, and wash or change my pillow case more often than other seasons so I'm not sleeping on pollen from my hair. Personal steamer for stuffy nose and headaches, and ibuprofen for headaches. I have a couple of family events in parks coming up in April and am dreading even the thought of taking Claritin in order to attend.
I thought it was only me. The last 3 days I have had a headache off and on and it gets worse by night. I also have the really plugged up nose that gets worse by night. I ache all over and feel feverish and chilly at the same time and I am dizzy from the plugged up sinuses. No infection noted. I sort of figured on the second day that the trees are budding and the weather is raining and then sunny and then windy----so perfect weather to get hit with allergies.
If it isn't one thing it is another. Good luck all. Irish
Sounds like we are all in the same boat!! the dryness is unbearable, and the med's just make it worse!!! the burning eyes....ahhhhhhhh...so tired of this SS. No one realizes how much we suffer from the dryness all over.
Im still amazed how the allergies effect my entire body. My joints, stomach, etc..all inflamed.Almost as bad as a flare.
Trying to take some natural things I read about.

Allergy tests never show any allergies to me. I've been tested several times. However, again I've been thinking if this nasty feeling is because of allergies:
I too have had what Irish says, plugged up nose. A couple of days now I've had a dry couch which I've wondered if it's that I too have been hit with the "sjs couch". Also been having slight trouble breathing for a while now. Eyes dry and itchy, skin itching all over. Not feeling flu-like sick, however, so it's weird and annoying. Especially the shortness of breath :P
Been planning to take allergy meds but haven't gone so far yet. Maybe I'll do it today. Already checked the pollen chart - the left one is today and the right one forecast for the weekend. I'm in the south... L stands for Leppä (alder) and C for pähkinäpensas (hazel bush). Group of three symbols means the maximum amount of pollen. Soon the south winds will bring birch pollen from Estonia and then our birches will join the party, too.
