It is happening again to me. All of a sudden the muscles in my shoulders tighten up, my knees hurt and I feel a little stiff. I was fine the past couple of days and then this happens all of a sudden and hurts like heck. Now my neck and middle of my back is stiff and hurting. Any of you get this? I hate it.
I have the same. Tights muscles in legs, knees hurt, hips are painful. Bad back. But all the time not on and off. Sleep is often impossible and giving me bad anxiety probems. I have dryness of mouth and eyes but otherwise I have more in common with MS. Been to see doctors loads on times. Having lip biopsy next week. What's sad is that whatever it is there isn't much that can be done about it.
Have hope.
Hydroxychloroquine or methatrexate gives pain relief to a lot of people.
Wow. I cannot believe it has been three years since I wrote that. Dear Paulo, It took two years for doctors to finally allow me to have a neck and lumbar spine MRI. I had to land in emergency to get them to do the neck and back. Results: C4, 5 and 6: arthritis, degenerative disc disease, stenosis. Lumbar spine results: Exact same thing as the neck with nerves being pinched by stenosis. Stress definitely made things worse. I cannot stand or walk for a long period of time. Added to all is the fact that 16 years ago I fell and almost severed by quadricep tendon in my right leg. I have never walked right since.
I was able to convince my doctors to send me to a physical therapy center that has a pool with an underwater treadmill. It is the only thing that helps me walk for 30 minutes without pain. My legs and back are no longer stiff for two days. My new physical therapist is absolutely sure that I have neuropathy, but it will probably take another two or three years to convince my doctors that I do.
Do you have fibromyalgia as well? Fibro will make everything stiff in the morning and if you sit too long. I will check in periodically to see how you are doing.
