Hello to you all!
I'm just sharing my new addition to my collection. I'm rather bemused by it all as I don't know when it is going to be complete...
My rheumatologist added Psoriatic Arthritis to my lot and says it overlaps with my SjS but he is now calling it my primary disease.
I've now finally started on MTX for both conditions and have been watching my body like a hawk for reactions. I know there are a few of you who have this package so I might call on your advice in the future!
Take care of yourselves
Sarah
Hi Sarahjane,
I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis about 2 yrs ago now and while it is not exactly the same as PA, it is in the same family of inflammatory arthritis.
Looking at your signature, it appears we have both hit the jackpot with multiple autoimmune illnesses.
I hope all goes well for you with the MTX. I have a friend with PA and he has been successfully treated with MTX for many years.
I could not tolerate MTX or any of the regular anti inflammatory medications and am now on one of the biologics - Enbrel. It certainly helps my joints but I still need to find answers to my never ending muscle pain. :'(
Take Care
Aussie Mum
Aussie mum thanks for that info. Every time I think I have a handle on things something changes that, and I have to find a new normal. Living with this stuff is all trial and error as is the medication. I take my second dose tomorrow so still early days but I'm sure all of it will benefit me in the long run ;D
