Hi
Some of you 'old-timers' will remember praying for my son, Michael, some years ago. He is 32, married with two small children and has had terrible health. However, he works two jobs, and does his best for his family.
On Tuesday he saw his GP about a testicular lump and blood in his urine. He only went to see her because he had been asked to go in and discuss some routine bloods. Typical man, hadn't taken the lump/blood serious. Anyway, during the appointment he was told he was anaemic and there were signs of his liver being damaged.
Things have moved quickly since Tuesday: he was called to the hospital Wednesday for an ultrasound of his liver (and possibly kidneys - he's not sure) and has an emergency appointment for a cystoscopy first thing in the morning.
As you can imagine, we are very worried. So, all positive vibes and prayers would be much appreciated.
I will let you know how he gets on.

Prayers to Michael and Family..
Kathy you know the routine.. try to breath and take care of yourself too.
The unknown part can be overwhelming and the Drs will test, investigate.. time and patience.
Please keep us updated. Hugs to all of you.
To my lovely friends
Unfortunately, we are no further forward. I went with Michael to the clinic on Friday and, after three hours of back and forth, it was realized that the lignacane that would have been used for the procedure was the same one that caused a reaction to him many years ago. So he now has to wait an appointment to having it done at the hospital under GA.
To make matters worse, there were no results available from his ultrasound - just unfortunate that the clinic and hospital don't share all their computer records. So we are waiting again.
Michael is doing okay. We are going out for a meal tonight to celebrate his son's 9th birthday, so that is a distraction for him - and us, of course.
I am doing reasonably well. I have had a few wonky blood tests, so am having them done again tomorrow. Again, I will let you know how it goes.
God bless
Kathyx
Kathy, it's been about a month since your last update. I hope there has been progress with your son and you're still doing reasonably well.
Prayers just went up. Ck
Sunshine, thank you for thinking about Michael. He finally had the cystoscopy today under general anaesthetic. Nothing nasty has been found, although he has still been passing blood in his urine. However, there were a couple of strictures that made the camera test difficult, and he bled quite a lot afterwards.
He's recovering at home now, and we are hoping the test/GA doesn't cause his fibro to flare. It seems his kidney ultrasound was clear, so again,we are counting our blessings. The GP is keeping an eye on bloods, to double check his liver, but otherwise we don't have any more news.
He's on a bagful of different meds for various conditions, so my task this weekend is to scrutinise all the patient information leaflets to see if any of the meds could be causing the bleeding.
I'll keep you up dated about anything we find.
Thanks to everyone for your prayers. They are very much appreciated.

Hi :)
Well I'm glad they didn't find what I suspect you all suspected!
Bit of a mystery. Hope they do identify what the problem is and can remedy it.
Take care. Still sending good vibes.
x x x Scottie :)
Thanks Scottie
Having read up information about strictures, it seems they could have been causing the bleeding, so that might be the answer.
Michael is doing okay. He's back at work and running here and there with his kids, so life is good.

It is such a blessing when we have things in our lives that turn out better than we expected, isn't it. So glad to hear that you son is doing so well. Will pray that he continues to do so. Now you can take a deep breath. It isn't any easier when the kids grow up is it. Life always throws us some curve balls. Irish
Katy, sorry I wasn't here praying for Michael, but I'm so glad to see that he's working again and able to spend time with his children. Keep us posted.
Peace and blessings to you,
~Andrea
