'Evil twin' found in student's brain

That's a bit of yellow journalism. Though prior to last week I didn't know what a teratoma was I still don't think that papers should characterize it as a twin in her brain for sensationalism. This isn't the 1800s. People can understand science now.
That said, a tumor with bone and hair bits is freaky as it gets! I'm happy it is out of her now.
It doesn't mean it was ever a fetus. Teratomas are rare but they aren't absorbed undeveloped babies. The body can malfunction in frightening ways. There was nothing to suggest the teratoma was an absorbed twin.
