Hi :)
Disappearing for while. Hubby has booked an apartment at a Natural Retreats place for our 40th Wedding anniversary. Kids, their partners and a grandson are joining us too. Not necessarily the best time of year to head north but this particular natural retreats used to be a hotel. It is where we met and where we had our wedding reception.
We are about the most unromantic people on the planet. We set our wedding date for the 14th February because it was a Friday, convenient and also my sister's half term so we knew she could get there. We had no idea it was also Valentine's Day and couldn't understand why people kept saying to us "Oh - how romantic!" I also had absolutely no idea that it was also my husband's parents wedding anniversary.
I may look in on the boards while I'm away but it depends on internet access, which can be patchy. Just hoping we don't get stuck in a snow drift en route.
Take care - Scottie :)
Happy Anniversary Scottie, I hope you all have a fantastic time together.
Happy, Happy Anniversary! Forty years is pretty impressive, and how wonderful that you can go back to the place you met and had your wedding reception :)
So I must ask: How far north is 'North'? Canada - or perhaps Alaska?
In case she has already "hit the road" I'll mention that Scottie is in the UK, and by "north" she means into Scotland! I'm not sure exactly where she's headed, but Edinburgh and Glasgow, which are roughly in the middle of the country, north to south, are at approximately the same latitude as Edmonton AB Canada.
"and by "north" she means into Scotland"
Ah.. so she is just going "up the road"
* Must have Sjogrens.. most people in winter go south... ;)
Have a great time.
