We old timers don't have to worry that much about this. I had sulfa when I was below 10 years, but penicillin wasn't used that much for my generation. I had my first penicillin when I was about 12 years old.
When I was in nurses training penicillin was used but ampicillin was just coming out about the time I graduated. I remember that amoxicillin was very new when my kids were little. Really dates me doesn't me. When I was working we used tetracycline, sulfa and occasionally chloromycetin. Also furadantin was out during those years. Probably some others, but not that many. Now we have all these antibiotics and they are all losing their effectiveness. Back to 1800's medical treatment--warm packs, mustard rolls, epsom salts, etc. These things still work at times. Irish
