Hi - we are looking into buying another car in the immediate future (like this weekend or next week) and I'm looking for some "consumer" feedback if you are a current Ford car owner.
We're looking at the Fusion, Escape or Edge (hubby is leaning towards Edge). Does anybody drive one of these vehicles and can recommend one or give me pros and cons of owning one of these said cars?
We need a car that will handle well in the snow and has good gas mileage and is a reliable /comfortable ride.
Does anybody have any input?
Thanks,
Bucky
I'm devoted to Hondas. Sorry!
Hope you have luck with your search.

I just turned in a lease on a explorer. We loved it. The technology was top of the line. They have some of the best in the industry for bike tooth, hands free, and navigation in my opinion. It handled awesome in the snow, it didn't get great gas mileage but you are looking at a smaller vehicle so it will probably get better.
I had the top of the line with the blindspot ,monitor, and loved that option. I also had the back up camera that would beep when you got too close to something, really miss that, beep.
I have a Ford Fusion 2011 and absolutely love it. It rides smooth and is great on gas. I have owned mine for three years and no issues but it only has 20k miles so far on it. I work at home so I dont have a lot of mileage. I abosolutely love the bluetooth stereo system and hands free for talking on the phone also. My husband owns an F150 and its 7 years old and still running like a top.

After a couple of Lexuses, my last two cars have been Prius. EXCELLENT.
I recommend the Honda or Toyota. I am not impressed by any U.S. auto company planning or execution. I would ask a trusted mechanic for a recommendation.

We have always bought American and have never had any issues from GM, Chevy and Ford. Have had many vehicles pass to family members and still going. Repairs are far less expensive also and we are investing in our companies and creating jobs.

I will say we owned one Volvo and it was one well made vehicle. My father in law bought it from us and it is still running. We bought a Jeep many years ago and it was one piece of @@##! Other than this we stick with American made cars.

I just got rid of my Ford Escape 2013 had it 1 1/2 had 6 recalls on it.. I am now in a Acura RDX and love it.

Acura is a Honda, for those of you who don't know.

Toyotas for our market are made in America.
Hi Bucky
We own a 2015 Escape and are really enjoying it, only had it out in snowy weather once and were impressed by how well it handled. Cant say the gas mileage is all that great about 24 miles per gallon
My only issue is roominess. Our previous car was a Honda Odyssey, loved it too for all the room it had.
My husband loves technology so the nav system and back up camera are a big hit. I really like the foot activated rear hatch. I never imagined how handy it would be. Love it.

Thanks for all the feedback. We test drove a Fusion and I didn't think the seats were comfortable, the drivers area wasn't roomy, and it was hard for hubby to get in and out of.
We ended up getting an Edge. Picked it on Saturday. :D
It drives really nice, is quiet inside, and is easy to get in and out of.
It's strange for me to have a blue car as I've had a red car for a very long time. What I really wanted was a yellow one - but, this car doesn't come in yellow. :-\
Now to get my side of the garage cleaned out so I can park in there (hopefully, this weekend).
