Hi :)
I've been away with hubby. It was his father's 90th Birthday and he lives 400 miles north of us.
Tomorrow I have to have a Myocardial Perfusion Scan. (Had chest pains back in July so they are checking up.)
Hoping things are fine as I want to stop taking beta blockers and statins. They make my feet swell and my legs ache and don't do much for my temper! Sincerely hoping I don't need them and will be able to drop them when I get tomorrow's results - sometime.
Anyone else have beta blocker side effects? Do realise - this is NOT SjS. May be autoimmune related however as my thyroid has been running hyper.
Thanks - take care - Scottie :)
Beta blockers tend to make me hostile. I burn out EKG machines as a side effect. After the clinic went through 2 machines they took me off beta blockers. The ER went through only one but they were warned first and then they took me off beta blockers.
Good luck!
I take high dose of omega 3 instead od statins.
Thanks Joe!
happy to know what makes me hostile. Hubby will be pleased if I stop them! :P
I take Omega 3 already. May increase dose!
Take care - Scottie :)
Oh dear, Scottie,
I hope all is well.
Your post sent me off in search of side effects of Beta Blockers. ACK!
I have them all. However, most of the things I have that are listed as side effects did NOT occur until I'd been taking Atenolol for over 8 years, so I rather imagine what I'm experiencing is more related to other things.
It is very hard to sort out the effects of one thing from another when we have masses of medications and masses of conditions!
BTW I did not see any mood change, hostility listed. But we know that we 'special cases' have our own brands of reactions to medications.
I hope your test goes well.
Hugs, Elaine
2800 am and 2800 pm is what I take of omega-3.
Hi Scottie
Good luck for tomorrow.

Scottie, wWondered where you were at. Hope all goes well tomorrow. Those statins can make a person really miserable. My son with the bad thyroid can't take them as he gets so weak he can hardly walk plus the pains in his muscles.
You must be one of the rare people who get more "wired" on the beta blockers. If I go off my heart rate just goes erratic and I can't stand it. Just quiver inside. Will be thinking of you so that things go well and life improves for you---and hubby, maybe!!!!! Irish
