As a community dealing with a multifaceted, but essentially similar disease, our focus should be on Sjogrens and topics directly related to the disease, its effects, and treatments. When we stray from that, readers are distracted and sometimes unnecessarily frightened.
Recently there have been instances of "third party discussions" regarding the health of people not known to be members of sjogrens world, and not suffering (to anyone's knowledge) with Sjogrens. this is a breach of confidentiality and will stop. Such posts will be removed.
Additionally, posts regarding research, treatment or diagnosis of disease processes, conditions not directly linked to Sjogrens, or non-medical scientific data are distractions to those seeking information about our primary reason for being here, Sjogren's Syndrome, and should not be posted in this forum.
Any links posted must address Sjogren's concerns, and be to reputable sites with no commercial application such as online shopping.
