Title: Low grade fevers
Post by: ariel on July 26, 2014, 04:16:32 PM
Hello. I have been reading this forum for awhile but have not seen anything related to fevers.  Does anyone experience very low grade fevers of 99.3 to 101.6 sporadically?  I don't even know if these are relevant or not. I have only recently been diagnosed with Sjogren's so am still learning what is normal and how to deal with it all.  Thanks so much for any thoughts. Very much appreciated.

I do, but I don't know whether it's related to sjogrens or not. I've been that way a long time.

In my situation if I run low grade more than a day or two, turns out being an infection. I don't fight off bacterial infections - immunocompromised due to no spleen.

Almost always. For me it's usually  99.9-101.0  ...I always seem to have something going on...muscle pain, joint pain, fatigue, swollen salivary glands...if not one thing then another...and I always run a low grade fever with it. Today it's been 100.3 and my salivary glands are swollen and painful. I have a fever every single time I go to the rheumatologist. The nurse always asks about it but the actual doctor never mentions it. It stinks because I can feel that I have a fever and it just adds to the overall feeling of being unwell.  :(
