Hi :)
A couple of months ago I developed pain in the upper part of my left arm. I didn't knock it - or fall - or bruise it, but if I pressed a certain part of it I could have brought tears to my eyes - had I any tears.
Anyway - the pain persisted. It was very localised but it ended up with the whole arm aching - although the 'pressure point' is still localised. A couple of days ago pain moved right across my collar bone and breathing is 'tight'.
I have seen my doctor and am having an x-ray on Monday. I tend to think its probably a 'flare' and to do with connective tissue but am just wondering if anyone has had anything similar? Not sure that its SjS related.
Take care - Scottie :)
For me, I had a stent put in. My heart attack did not show on blood work, xrays, ekg, or stress test. It only showed in an angio. Please push your doctor to find the source.
Scottie, I'm with Joe on this.
Have your heart checked out with an angiogram, or a thallium (nuclear) stress test.
The pain is spreading and real persistent. Be sure soon.
Hugs, Elaine (three angioplasties and two stents done at age 57).
Sorry to hear about your pain Scottie. Hope you get sorted tomorrow.

Agree with others to ask about your heart if your breathing is challenged. Also check your brachial plexis.
I do have left arm pain and many major joints hurt a lot if pressed on. The pain on the left can radiate down my arm, but it's nerve pain and it's not left me with labored breathing.
I hope you get answers quickly, Scottie. It sounds like you are in a lot of pain.
And like the others, I think you should press the doctor for some heart investigation just to be sure.
Hi :)
Thanks for the responses. Had the upper arm and shoulder x-rayed today. Pretty sure nothing will show up. Think, personally, it is connective tissue inflammation. I resorted to Ibuprofen the other day and it lessened the pain and also stopped my chest feeling so tight. I am not meant to take Ibuprofen - or other NSAIDs because when I was on one kind regularly I developed unexplained bruising. Chest not feeling tight today. I think the other day the cartilage all the way round hurt. Shoulders possibly have osteoarthritis.
Apparently my GP will be sent the results of the x-ray in about a weeks time so I will phone then and see them sometime. If I get chest pain again I will try to see someone sooner!
Thanks guys - take care - Scottie :)

So glad you are feeling better. Fingers crossed that you get your results soon.
I've just finished physio for shoulder and neck arthritis, and I had been in similar pain to you, apart from having chest pain. But I was having a lot of upper left arm pain, as well as the shoulder pain. The physio has helped enormously.
