My "always uplifting" Sjoggie-mates..
Please keep my son, Jon (who is a Marine) and all of the other Marines at Camp Pendleton, as well as all of the other folks in the surrounding areas of California in your prayers.. to stay safe from all of the raging fires. He is close enough to some of the fires, that he is sending me horrible pictures of the fire and growing destruction.
So sad to think that someone would deliberately start fires in a drought-stricken area.
Thanks in advance!

I heard about that earlier today about the firestarters. Unbelievable.
Count on my Prayers for Jon, and all of those affected by the fires.
Hugs
Amanda
SjoDry,
My prayers are with your son and all the other Marines and their families at Camp Pendelton, as well as all the others nearby. My son is also a Marine and was stationed there after his tour in Iraq. He's now living in Costa Mesa, which is not too far away form San Diego.
Truly is sad.
Hugs, Maria
Sjodry- Jon is on my prayer list.

You got it~ :) So sad that someone would be that careless or mean, whichever it is.
Prayers for safety for all affected by the fires, and the families who have to worry. Hope there is an end to the destruction and devastation soon.
Living in California one of the disadvantages is that cruel people take advantage of the heat and drought stricken area to harm property animals and people. As I smell the wildfires I have already been praying. I will also specifically ask that Jon is safe from harm and danger as well as all the other families in the area.

My heart goes out to you. You must be worried sick about Jon and his colleagues.
My prayers are added to the others.

SjoDry,
Prayers for your son, and everyone in the area. Indeed it is so sad that people start fires on purpose.
I hope that everyone will be safe, and that the fires will be over soon,
Nellie
Sjodry-you have my prayers and love for your son and everyone affected by these fires.
Thanks so much for your kind thoughts & prayers. :)
Jon is fine. He made me a little nervous when he told me that the base had been evacuated, but he stayed behind to help if needed. It sounds like Camp Pendleton sustained
a lot of damage.
But I feel so sorry for those folks who lost their homes.
I think everyone is facing a battle of some sort every day.
Thanks again..you all are really so kind. No wonder we have such a great board here.
