Title: Need some positive vibes for my son
Post by: Katybarstool on May 14, 2014, 12:28:50 PM
Hi

As some of the old timers know, my youngest son, Michael, has had a lot of health issues in recent years. He has fibromyalgia, Acrocyanosis and some bowel problems. He hasn't talked to  me much about  his health problems recently, other than when he gets in a flare. However, today he told me he is going for a full body scan on Friday, as his recent endoscopies were 'inconclusive' and they need to see if there are any cancers 'hiding'.  Oh, and they believe his liver has become damaged from his meds.Needless to say, I was very shocked, and gutted for him.
So, please send him some positive vibes, and any prayers will be much appreciated.

Michael is just 31 and has two small children.

Genko I am praying for you and your son Michael.  I know this is a difficult time but God's got your back and Michaels back.  Try to stay focus on the positive and try to keep each others spirits up.  We here will continue to send love and hugs your way.

Hi Kathy - positive vibes sent your way.

Life simply is not fair.

I hope the full body scan does not show up any hidden anythings!

My oldest son is slightly older than Michael - but not much and know I felt bad when he developed Crohn's Disease. You are facing worse right now. Will keep you in my thoughts.

Keep us posted.

Take care - Scottie x x

Kathyx - I've been thinking of you and Michael today.  By now, he has already had the procedure done.

I know how hard it is for us to sit and wait for test results, it seems to magnify when it's one of our loved ones, especially our children.

I hope Michael gets some good news.

Hang in there, mum.  Keeping you both in my prayers.

Hugs,
Bucky

Love to you, him, and your whole family.

It's horrible, seeing your kid suffer. Thank goodness he has a loving mom who understands. <3

Kathy- I have a son the same age. No matter how old they are, we are still mothers that worry.
My thoughts and love are with all of your family.

Hi Kathy - just catching up and I'm so sorry to hear Michael has had to go through this.   I do hope your anxious wait will soon be over and there is good news.  You must be worn out waiting and worrying.  It is the worst feeling ever when our children (whatever their age) are unwell or struggling.

Sending you lots of love  xx Ailsa

Hi my loveley friends

Sorry for this very belated update, but I have been having broadband, work and moving home stresses, so haven't been on here for a while.

Michael had his scan results, and there is nothing serious on them. He has some liver issues, probably caused by some of his meds, but they are goig to do a thorough review, to see if they can change anything. Bless him, whenever his morphine is reduced, his fibro goes into an almighty flare, so it's about benefits and risks now.

Anyway, he's much chirpier, now that he knows there's nothing too sinister going on.

Thank you so much for all your positive vibes, prayers and thoughts.

Sending Michael and family continued positive thoughts..
Fibro pain can be very intense and so exhausting in and of itself.

I am grateful mine is managed and I wish the same for your son.
