Anyone else experiencing pupura on your forearms and/or skin so thin it bleeds if you rub it?
I often get bruises on my forearms if I scratch them or rub them too hard.
I notice you have Thrombocytopenia, so you must have a tendency to bleed easily.
No never had this SjoGirl and that doesn't sound right either. Have you shown it to your rheumy or PCP? Is it something new? Take pics of it so they can see it, if you haven't shown them. Take pics anyway. Never know when you might need them.
Sorry I can't be of any help, other than telling you that I think you should be seen.
Sorry you have yet another thing to deal with. =(
Grace and peace,
~Andrea
PS to my other post.
I agree with Andrea that you should be seen, preferably by your Rheumatologist.
Yes, but I think it's from aging.....
WHAT??? I'm not OLD!!! :)
No, but I get cherry angiomas...(also called cherry hemangiomas, Campbell De Morgan spots, or 'Senile angiomas' thank you very much).
I get petechia on my palms and forearms, last summer I had it all over my trunk. Doc says it can be from vasculitis, another thing is thrombocytopenia. To be checked get a crp and sed rate a cbc too look at the cell counts and a thrombin and prothrombin coagulation tests. Sometimes regular cbc test is not enough to show coagulation problems.
