Hi Lovelies,
Adam, my husband, wrote this article about taking care of me when my SjS got bad and then the Cushing's hit.
http://www.youandmemagazine.com/articles/the-imperfect-caregiver The magazine gives a plug for my Cushing's article, but it mentions SjS just as much as Cushing's (I think more).
Anyway, this is my husband. Hate to say how much he rocks, because people who brag about their husbands and their marriages, well, next thing you know, they end up with their love on the rocks!! So I will just say, he's for real and we've been blessed.
Love you guys!
Peace and blessings,
~Andrea
Wow - what an amazing article and what an amazing man. You are both truly blessed.
I must admit I felt a small sense of envy when reading it - my husband does not get it and does not even try to get it most days.
Sending positive thoughts your way.
Wow, Andrea.
Brings me to tears, and yes, your husband is truly an amazing and loving husband in the full sense of the word.
Hugs
Amanda
Sincere Thank you to your husband for writing about his experience, living and growing in this journey!
For 'us' it was and is paramount not to lose ourselves and let this consume us.. keep it as a facet of who 'we' are', not the sum total.
Blessings to you and family.
A wonderful article and a testament to true love! We never know what is in store for us in our life's journey and it is refreshing to see that your husband had the faith and courage to meet the challenges head on. Blessings to you both!
Gail
Dearest Andrea,
A Lovely article by your imperfect perfect caregiver!
Just asking myself NOT TO COMPARE, just share......
sometimes very hard. oh well, we don't always get what we want.
You got a marvelous caregiver, and a bunch of horrible conditions. We all get what we get, and we practice patience persistence and acceptance.
Still, just saying, we need some 'clones' of Adam.
Slightly envious hugs, Elaine
Andrea,
You are so very blessed. A wonderful person Adam is. This uplifted my spirits today.
Kimberly
Wonderful article from your wonderful man who loves you. To experience that type of loving commitment and caring is truly a gift.
All the best,
Nancy
I am speechless. That was so wonderful. The love he has for you. Best wishes to both of you.
Thanks for sharing!
Jennifer
I was really touched by this article. Thank you for sharing it. I tried to raise my son Adam to be sensitive. Hopefully he will turn out to be like your husband some day. I have tried to talk to my son about Sjogren's and how it affects our lives. He will not ask questions and seems like he is avoiding it.
You are truly blessed. You should also be so proud!
I was also very touched by this article and by your husband. He sounds like a wonderful man.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Thank you all. He got the short end of the stick, that's for sure. =) We're a goofy pair, but I guess we're working so far. Like I said though, I never go bragging about "My Man" ....seems like the kiss of death. I am happy that he got his article printed though. Thanks again.
Andrea, I learned so much about you in the article you shared. It is very difficult to bare our vulnerabilities to educate others but you did with such style and grace. I appreciate you writing and sharing your story. I will shout from the rooftop for you accolades to your husband! A true and genuine love, God has truly blessed you with blessings in disguise.
Take care,
Mary
So sweet! He's a keeper :)
