Title: Ugh
Post by: Diane54 on November 20, 2013, 09:28:37 AM
It's been months really that I have had a doozie flare like this.....it has been going on since Saturday.....I am trying to push through it just to try to feel normal....one lucky thing though....I have a Rheummy appointment tomorrow....can't wait to unload with both barrels........I am wondering if maybe Plaquenil is just dying off for me..........worked miracles up until this past Saturday........I have been getting tremors also lately which is somewhat of a new symptom........anyone have experience with them? Also noticed a livedo reticularis mark on my thigh..........this is new too!

Diane - sorry you've been having a rough time with a flare.   :-\

Glad to hear you have a Rheumy app't. tomorrow.  I hope he/she will be able to give you some direction and some relief.

I don't know anything about tremors - the only thing I remember reading about tremors was when Scottie had her broken arm and the nerves were causing her hand tremor.

I hope you feel better ASAP.

Diane,

I'm sorry. Hope your rheumy gives you some answers and provides you with some ideas for relief of your symptoms.

During long flares, it can be so disheartening. Sometimes it's that you keep getting hit with bugs you're fighting off. Especially this time of year. Do you have wee petri dishes at home (A.KA. kids)?

Also, meds can have a cumulative effect and there are some that can really jack you up. I wish I would have seen this yesterday, I would've told you to ask your rheumy about the tramadol. I know a lot of people who can take it an do well, but I wasn't one of them. My docs that I have now, won't even Rx it. It can have some nasty side effects.

I do have tremors, but I'd lime to see what your rheumy says. There again, many reasons for this. Let us know what your rheumy says, if you're feeling up to it.

Take care now. Peace and blessings,
~Andrea

Hi,

I've been reading here for a while and just decided to start posting.

I have Sjogren's and a few other other problems, including hypothryoidism like you.  The only time I've had visible tremors is when I've been getting hypo and my fingers tremble, even once my toes which was quite amusing to watch, but tweaking the thyroid meds usually helps that.

I do sometimes get an internal vibration feeling but think that's the CTDs rather than the hypo.  Well, who knows really, sometimes it's just impossible to work out!

Hope your appointment went ok.

Hi Diane, Daisy and everyone.  Flares sucks and I am trying to get through one now.  I wish flares would just be short and to the point and go away quickly.  I may be sounding like a child but when I look over my life my kids have only had a sick mommy.  I tried to have memorable times with them but looking at my life now they have seen a lot of illness with me.  I pray they remember more of the good times and not so much of the sickness.

You never know what the kids will remember. What they do know is that they have a mommy who loves them very much, and takes care of them. And THAT is what is important.

On my report my nuero wrote, tremors secondary to autoimmune disease.

I'm on clonazepam for them.  Take .5 MG at bedtime.

She says everything neurological I have going on, tremors, polyneuropalthy, ataxia etc. is due to the Sjogren's.
