Title: Grandson taking his time.
Post by: Scottietottie on October 27, 2013, 01:45:07 PM
Hi  :)

My youngest daughter was due to have a first baby yesterday. No sign. Nothing doing. Personally I hope she keeps her legs crossed till Halloween but that probably won't happen.

The UK is about to be hit by a fairly severe autumn storm. Broadcasts are suggesting that people don't travel unless absolutely necessary. What are the bets that she will 'start' tonight - and need to travel in the storm? Hope not - but it would be typical!

Thanks fior listening - Scottie  :)

First babies, probably most babies, don't come on 'time'.

A storm sounds like a perfect introduction for the baby!

Boy or girl?

How exciting.

My first son was born today, the 27th, and always had a Halloween themed birthday of course.

Keep us posted.

Hugs, Elaine

Aww a little baby on its way. Babies do come when they are ready. My son almost 41 years ago did not want to come so labor was started.

Prayers for all to go well for mom, and baby, and grandmom.

Scottie,
I hope your daughter doesn't need to travel in the storm, and all is well where she lives. First babies are never "on time" it seems.

Carolina, happy late birthday to your oldest! Is he one who adores the fall and all that goes with Halloween?

We'll wait to hear your news, Scottie! Wishing her well :)

 Scottie,

I am thinking positive thoughts for all of you, especially the little fellow.  That storm sure lots bad.  Stay safe.

Storm come and gone. :) Baby appears to be comfortable where he is and is showing no signs of coming.

Daughter obviously not like me. All my four were early - and the first was the earliest.

She's spent today painting the nursery and eating hot curry and pineapple.

Will keep you posted. Maybe it WILL be Halloween!

Take care - Scottie  :)

Halloween come and gone and still no pumpkin!  :(

She had a costume ready and everything! (Maybe he doesn't fancy dressing up!)

The midwife was round today and apparently she is 3 and 1/2 centimetres dilated and the waters are 'bulging'. She has had no pain of any kind and has spent the week painting a nursery and was intending to gloss the skirting boards tonight!

If Mr lazy hasn't turned up by Thursday - she will be induced - but it sounds to me like its close now. maybe he will wait till the 5th which is Guy Fawkes night here. Bonfires and fireworks!

Thanks for asking.

Take care - Scottie  :)

Scottie, it is such a delight to be thinking of a new baby!

And one that's taking his own sweet time.

We are all awaiting your next news bulletin!
