Post by: wisconsin41 on October 07, 2013, 03:13:10 PM
Music is cranked,  experimental turkey loaf in the oven, setting the table. Just waiting for my beautiful ladies to get home... :D

I had cold cereal and hubby had a beef sandwich with some fresh tomatoes. We were to the doctor today to get flu shots, I had my preop physical and we ran doe errands. I was pooped. Some days are like this. I have found that old age and chronic disease have affected my ability to cook---or is it my desire to cook---or maybe the blame truth is I don't want to cook.lol Irish

Just found a crock pot recipe for ham and white beans.  A little bit of cornbread to go with it and we'll be set.

Cool weather this morning.  About 53 when woke up.  Just right for a little bit of crock pot.

Man, my next trip is scheduled to hit everyone's house at dinner time.

I'm sooo lazy.  Something on the grill, a veggie, salad.....that's my maximum effort.

Maybe you will inspire me.

Hugs, Elaine

This time of year can be great with the garden produce. A couple of nites ago I made one of my favorite fall suppers. Fried pork chops with home made cole slaw, slice fresh tomatoes and baked squash. The squash this year is very plentiful and so yummy. I fix it just plain with a little butter and brown sugar in it. Irish

Tonight we are having a chop salad with smoked chicken breast, chickpeas, tomatos pumpkin seeds and feta cheese tossed with a lemon vinaigrette.

Last night we had wild salmon baked in a bourbon saucee with roasted new potatoes, and a green salad.

And tomorrow I am not cooking
