It is hotter than you know what tonight in MN. I bet it is hot all over the US these days. It was in the 90's today with a lot of wind. THe humidity is high also. Tonight it is now 80 degrees and our 4 season porch that is not air conditioned is like a sauna. It is to be 83 degrees early tomorrow morning and be a wicked day.
We all have to be careful--those of us who sweat a lot and those of us who don't sweat. We are doomed either way.
My tomatoes are loving this heat though. I am having the first good crop in years. I have a couple of heritage tomatoes and they are even doing well. Wish I could remember what I planted. Potatoes should be ready soon and that is the extent of my garden. The weeds are really looking good!!! IRish
And we are being told this will be our hottest week yet this summer :(
Gonna be in the 60s next coupla nights here in se Georgia :o that's just unheard of! I'm not complaining
HOT in Arkansas. First it was cool, then non-stop rain. Now heat. Oh, what heat!!! Is it going to end? No rain in sight now.
What is causing this strange weather? Doesn't help with SJS and arthritis.
Jim Cantore needs to do some kind of magic with this weather.

It is so hot we are getting sour cream from the milk cows.
Sorry guys, absolutely gorgeous here.
Fall is in the air. Cooler mornings with warmer afternoons, slight breeze. Dont get too jealous, before you know it we will be deluged with non stop rain. Better enjoy it while I can. :)
Connie50, where are you??? I want to come there. Glad someone is enjoying some nice cool weather. Enjoy!!!
Jennifer
Hi Jennifer,
I'm in Northwest Washington state.
In my opinion ,Fall is the best time here followed by Summer
Spring and Winter are usually quite dark and rainy :(
Connie50,
I have heard that area is beautiful!!! Would love to see it. Enjoy your weather the best you can.
Jennifer
HOT in Eastern Iowa. They are letting all the schools out early and have a few cool shelters open now for people if they need it. We have a heat advisory through today and tonight. Not sure if they are extending it but probably will. 97 here w/heat index 105.
I just recently came back from Wisconsin and it was hot there too. :(
It is horrible in Texas again. I was hoping it was finally going to cool down( to the 90's) but now it is 100+actual temp for the next 4-5 days. Ugh...so hot!
Well I am ticked! I saw on the weather channel that all the rain is going North and South of me. Probably East too. :( We really need it here as the grass is brown and has not needed mowed in weeks. Farmers are worried about their yields here and not sure if they can fulfill their contracts.
It is so hot that I have a cooler on the back seat floor of the car to put any cold stuff I get grocery shopping. And I am drinking like a fish out of water. LOL ;) :D
Well, MN had a little rain last night with a lot of lightening and thunder for a while. Today it is not as hot but still muggy. The sky has clouded up numerous times and I keep expecting there to be a tornado watch or thunderstorm watch before this is over. There is crazy weather in the world lately and we just have to live through what we get cause we sure can't change it. Irish
It got to 108 here yesterday. I live by a large lake and it is down around 13 feet! Gonna cool down to 98 next week! Why do we hear about all the rain and floods across the nation, but not the horrible drought?
Nancy
It has been so hot here too. The humidity when needed to get out was horrible. At night here the other night it was 80. That is unusual here at night in the mountains.
Last night we had a storm with really loud rumbling. I could feel our house rumble. Then it cooled off.
Today was in the 90's, but not the high humidity. So much nicer. Tonight in the 60's.
susanep :)
Oh my gosh, the weather has changed overnight. It was cooler this morning and by evening it was almost a little chilly. Hubby said the weather report was for 45-50 degrees overnight. It does feel and look like fall. School starts in MN tomorrow. Always good to get back on schedule with the kids. The hot weather is hard on the kids also and really hard when they can't play outside safely due to the heat. IRish
Oh my gosh,. I take it all back. It has been so darn hot again. Today is really miserable and high humidity. Hardly a breeze. It is September, for crying out loud.
Also, just read in the paper last night that MN is now having an increase in drought issues again. Worse up north of the cities, but the ground is v ery dry here and starting to urn from the heat. I have so many tomatoes and pick some every 3 days or so. Not enough to mess with for canning, but I need to try and freeze some as they are very thicvk meaty fruit.
Hope October is better. Irish

It's only been in the 50's here in northern England today, and my Raynauds is flaring already. I dread the winter.
I hope it cools down a little for you - but I would love some of your heat, if I'm being honest.

It all sounds like normal summer in North Carolina to me.
I stay indoors most of the time.
Or in the pool if outside.
Hot hot hot.

We got "teased" this morning in Eastern Iowa. We had a few drops of rain but it didn't last and it was enough by a long shot. Starting the summer we had too much rain and they were planting in mud, now we are short at least 7 inches and worrying about the crop yields. Grass is brown alllll over but temps are at least in the "low" 90s now.
The ground is cracking.
We had the very hot, but worse was the high humidity. I was miserable with that. Then we got the cool off. It felt so nice while it lasted. Today it was warmer, but not the extreme humidity. Looking more forward to fall.

Well I'm not really sure where to introduce myself, but ths seemed as good as any. I'm new to the site and live 'down under' in the land of OZ - Australia.
It is suppose to be Spring but the last 2 days have been HOT. I hate the heat, having Lupus for 12 years and having to cover my skin in clothing in 30-35C heat with high humidity is not fun. I have very fair skin too.
Not looking forward to summer, my joints seem to get worse in summer....
I live in the NE - southern NH - in the 90s yesterday, gonna get to the 80s again today. Was cool like fall last week, now change in weather - has allergies/asthma and symptoms of a wide variety reappearing...our bodies do not know what to do with this fast change!!!
Enjoy the day and stay safe and cool.
This was a day of wonder. It was around 72 and a little breeze. Had the windows all open and just enjoyed this wonderful dry, cool air. It is to get in the 40's tonight. What a change. Hopefully we will get some rain soon as it is so dry again. Can't complain wherever we live as someone always has it worse this summer.
