Hi Lori, I had a case of poison oak about a month ago.

About 10 hours after working in my yard, my wrests started itching, following by
blisters. Then my face, arms, abdomen and legs. The areas that had exposer to
the highest consintration of oil were affected first. The rash and blisters continue
to develop over a ten -15 day period.

Over a few days new one developed but they did not spread from touching blisters the
new ones appeared later because of exposure to a smaller consintration of oil.

I never had a problem with this before until now and I had gloves on. Also there were
no leaves out at the time, just vines.

You don't have to have direct contact with poison oak or ivy, you can get it from oils
on your shoes or pet.

I was put on steroids which help heal the rash sooner.

This is just a thought.
Hope you find the cause.
