Title: Mothers Day...
Post by: quietdynamics on May 09, 2013, 09:52:12 AM

It has come, as I knew it would.

First Mothers Day since Mom passed last Oct.

Well, we still have her Labrador Max,  who was also Dx'd with lymphnoma last Oct, too.
Two week +/- prognosis turned into 7 months and counting...must be the Omegas in the cat food he steals and now I just give him... having him is a living extension of Mom...although I will admit he has a more even temperament...lol
Yes we turned her dog into a cat!!! And keep taking him on car rides/errands...well, wouldn't you?

7 months and I have am still in the legal quagmire of Moms' estate.

The Blessing: We are going up to Woodstock, NY for a family Birthday on Saturday.
It will be the first trip we have gone on in a long time...very much overdue.

Just overnight, and a 4 hour drive (huge for me).
Meds have been adjusted and working well enough that I can do this. Happy Dance ~~~
I feel like the "Little Train That Could"....LOL.
My mental mantra for the next few days...I could care less if I crash when we get back.

I bought my sweet-mother-in-law ultra soft light summer PJ's ....so pretty, pale lilac with petite flowers.
So....I got a pair for myself...lol. $60 on sale for $30 ...you betcha'

Can't wait to fluff them up in white tissue paper...and place them in the pretty peacock print bag I found.

We are taking up a few Hungarian specialties...and Edith has been cooking, she is driving from Buffalo, NY. The pastries do get me into trouble, so I cut them in half and sample...yummm.

The birthday boy, is turning 60. He had an accident and has been wheelchair bound for decades. I love to tease him. He and his brother will be on Wii into the early hours; like they are college kids again ...lol.

So that is our plan....a very good one.

I wish you a Happy Mothers Day...
...and for those of you whose Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunts have passed Special Loving Memories...

And adopted moms and grandmas!

Have a lovely time, and without a crash afterwards! It will still be a really tough day, though.
Hugs, Sharon

Quietdynamics that sounds like a pretty busy mother's Day. I am still trying to adjust to the little boy who used to make me cards to the teen who does not acknowledge Mother's Day. His life only revolves around his gf. My mom has been gone for 7 years now so there is no one to share the day with. Maybe I will take myself to the movies.

I bet your mil will love those pj's. it is so nice to hear that you have a great relationship.

Siccom enjoy your day as well.
