I went for an eye check up today and it just reinforced how much I love my ophth. It's not that he reminds me of a TV actor whose name escapes me but because I am always learning little new things. He is patient with my fear of people poking around my eyes. A few weeks ago he shaved down a papilloma that had grown inside my inner lower lid and had calcified. It was like having a permanently implanted rock in my eye.
I was worried about the blurring that occurred in spots and he told me about all the little glands in your eyes that create tears and how when we blink it distributes the tears but in some areas I can't produce tears and this is causing my blur spots. I never thought about the process of making tears.
Then we talked about eye pressure. Mine tends to run a bit high. I have previously had surgery for this. I didn't think about how eye pressure goes up and down throughout the day causing the odd readings the tech got today.
Feels good to have good quality care.
Indeed! Happy for you :)
Well now I'm smarter too. I do have the blurries occassionally. Now I know why. Thanks.
