Title: Swallowing Air, Feeling Bloated
Post by: Styx on April 24, 2013, 01:45:17 PM
Maybe this just goes with the territory of dry throat, but do any of you all suffer from feeling bloated from trying to swallow a lot?

The good news is that my nose and PND have improved a lot, but I can't tell if I'm doing this because of the remaining PND or if it's just dry throat.

How can you tell that it's swallowed air? I don't think I ever had that symptom. But mine is small intestine-related---I can get bloated 5 minutes after eating. Makes me not look forward to lunch---ruins the rest of my day. Breakfast doesn't seem to affect me, though.

After decades of chronic bloating, I think I now understand what causes it, for me, anyway. Yeast overgrowth in the gut. Last fall I had stool sample tests done--for all sorts of parasites and bacteria....but the only thing that showed up bad was the high levels of yeast. I did an herbal tincture treatment (diluted with water)--my naturopath specializes in these formulas called EWEJE. I took one with these ingredients:

sangunaria canadensis (bloodroot)
Rhamnus frangula (Alder Buckthorn)
Camphora gum plant extract (camphor)
Syzygium aromaticum (clove)

While taking the mixture 4 oz 3x day after meals, I didn't think it was working, but I got better right after that. I just wanted to try the herbal way and see if it did anything. So I think it DID help. I don't think my yeast problem is permanently gone by any means, but at least now I'm pretty sure I recognize when it's flaring up and can straighten up my diet so that it doesn't get out of control.

That's what causes bloating for me.
