Well about three days ago I started feeling sick and I just shoved it to the side thinking that it was nothing big. two days ago I started having aches in my back and was having upper gastric pain. Today im having severe lower back pain along with the pain in my stomach. Not a good combination at all.. I will be going to my general md on Tuesday ( its the only day I have off of college) since the pain is really getting to me now. After not sleeping or eating for the past two days something needs to be done. I have no appetite at all.
has anyone else had this happen to them or have lower back pain? With the upper gastric pain I figure it has something to do with my liver again :(
I have to agree. I would try very hard to get into a dr sooner than tuesday, only because of the locations of the pain. There are so many organs in the abdomen that can cause issues that can be very serious. On the other hand, it could be something as simple as gas (doubtful) or GERD type symptoms causing some serious symptoms. I had a hiatal hernia where the majority of my stomach was herniated up into my chest cavity. Ended up having to have surgery vs risking strangulation of my stomach and a slow miserable death. (didn't sound like much fun) So, if I were you, I would absolutely get it checked out, with answers you are comfortable with, asap. No need to chance it!
In February I started having pain in my upper abdomen on a Monday.. It wasn't real bad, just enough to bother you.. Tuesday night I woke up about 2:30 and spent the rest of the night doubled over in pain, still in upper abdomen and going around in my back.. Wednesday morning I felt a little better and slept for a couple of hours... I woke up in severe pain, upper abdomen, right side and back.. I couldn't even get out of bed.. It scared my husband so bad he called an ambulance.. I spent the afternoon having emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix..
It's better to get it checked out right away if the pain is very bad..
Thanks everyone. I have a lower back pain since last year around this time. I do know that my spine is fused at the bottom but they don't know why I am having the pain. About three years ago they thought I had a hiatral hernia which was thought to be causing the abdominal pain but that was ruled out and the pain from that had went away and just now started to come back. And since im away at college I cant risk missing class (that's just how I am). I'm just hanging in there. If it does get worse I will be heading to the ER. but I have such a high pain tolerance that i'll end up just waiting!
Try massaging the reflexology points for your low back on your hands or feet to see if that helps.
