I would MUCH rather have dessert than be stressed . . . . ;D
Just the other day, I found a recipe online for a real simple dessert - only 2 ingredients! So, I made it tonight - it's very light and yummy! ;)
Lemon Bars
All you need is an angel food cake mix and a can of lemon pie filling.
Mix them together and bake in a 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. (it didn't look done at 20 minutes, so I kept baking it a minute at a time until I thought it looked done - which turned out to be 25 minutes baking)
As they are cooling, you can sprinkle with powder sugar if you wish (which I guess technically, makes it 3 ingredients).
Mmmmmmmmmm
Another one I saw online and haven't tried yet:
Easy Berry Cobbler
Ingredients
2- 16oz. bags of any frozen fruit
1 box white cake mix
1- 12 oz. can diet Sprite or diet 7-Up
Instructions
Preheat 350 degrees F
Place both bags of frozen fruit into a 13 x 9-inch baking dish (do not thaw)
Sprinkle dry cake mix over the top of frozen fruit
Pour entire can of diet Sprite or diet 7-UP over mixture
Cover with foil and bake 20 minutes
Uncover and bake an additional 40 minutes
let cool
Number of Servings: 12
It said this is a Weight Watchers recipe.
Anybody else have any simple dessert recipes you've tried and liked?

Hi Bucky :) I'm always happy to see fun and easy recipes...and sometimes making a fun dessert can be just what a Sjoggie needs to cheer up the day. Thanks!
This pumpkin cake is moist & tasty. It makes the house smell yummy good. More & more I am noticing how good scents help with stress.
Preheat oven to 350. Spray Pam or lightly grease a 9 X 14? not sure about the dimensions (rectangular)cake pan
*spice cake mix
*one 16 oz can of plain pumpkin
*walnuts optional
Mix the DRY cake mix with the pumpkin - at first, it will be a little stiff to stir.
Spread mixture in cake pan. Bake for approx 35-40 min.
Eat plain or top with cream cheese frosting
Oh Bucky...how did I miss this thread? I love my desserts and these sound very easy and yummy! I just may have to try those lemon bars soon! :)
P. Trish - that sounds yummy - I'll have to try that.
Thanks.

This thread is delicious!!
Here is an easy dessert for little kids that they can do themselves!
Ingredients: can of chocolate frosting
jar of marshmallow creme
graham crackers
Smear frosting on one square of cracker, smear creme on another, and then assemble as a sandwich!
Ark mom - along those same lines, here's something for the little kids and big kids alike: ;D
Take can of vanilla or chocolate frosting and spread it on saltine crackers and eat it (open face, no sandwich . . . unless you wanted to . . . we just eat them as single crackers)!! YUM!!!!
Bucky
I am craving frosting now!!
