Last week I was really beginning to worry about D. He was borrowing spoons from several days forward to complete school projects and come up with a plan to get his grades up from where they have dropped from ....well pick something, you all know how he feels. He was moving from down right tired to exhausted, face always red, along with eyes, everything hurt and to describe him as irritable would be an understatement. Grandma to the rescue on Thursday!!!
One blessing about the SJS, SLE and RA diagnosis in a young boy is the number of health care providers in all fields who have offered their suggestions to us. My mom was recommended to try this through her natural health guy in Aspen and my son is hooked. Here is our latest and greatest pain control device.
Sound Vitality Infratonic 9. I know it sounds crazy and my son thought his grandma had lost her mind when I brought it home. You can hold it in your hand or stick it on this super magnet on a tripod. It has three levels, which you can feel the difference in the pulse rate if you are holding it, but you cannot hear it. You can place it directly on a sore spot or just leave it "aimed" at you.
Anyhow, first night I stuck it on its tripod by the dining room table where he was doing his homework and he laughed at me and called grandma and I both crazy....30 minutes later he said his body was "humming" and his hands didn't hurt anymore. He moved himself and his machine to the sofa, adjusted the boom over his body and lights out!!! We then moved him to bed and set it at the end of his bed by his feet and now five days later he is waking up to as near as pain free as he can recall the last six months. We had days in Dec he couldn't go to school because his feet hurt so bad he couldn't walk.
I don't know why this is working, he carried it around the house all weekend, and if he is home has it by his side. Last night watching TV he moved it from shooting at his knees to putting it on the pillow at his feet. My husband is now stealing it to put on his knee which he needs to have vein surgery on and it is beginning to feel better.
It has been nice to see some relief from the ongoing pain that even the meds can't seem to stop. He calls it "a Miracle device, my best friend", and wait for it...."Crazy mom and grandma were right!" Has anyone else ever tried something like this?? I had never heard of it.
Hi Farm, it makes me very sad to read about your young son dealing with all of this. I've never heard of anything as you describe, I do use a TENS unit...but your Infratonic 9 sounds like it beats my TENS unit by many miles!
This is a form of Chi Machines. They do work. Last I checked they are expensive. About 15 years ago I had a friend that had one of the chi machines place under his bed and one for manual use in his living room. (He had lots of money). I had a portable chi Ionizer. The ionizer makers put me on their mailing list so I could keep up with their research. This came out of China where they did research on Tai Chi healers. There are other machines on the market today.
My ionizer quit working and it was not repairable.
