Hi all-
am taking 200 mg diflucan to try to get my possible yeast ( systemic) in check..
began tue and by thusrday my throat and mouth went into dryness flare...
wondering does this med do that?
Ive only had it inthe 150 mg one time dose before and was fine but at higher doses?????

Ive been on 100mg daily for years, never noticed dryness from this at all..if anything, it helps because the yeast causes dryness.
Alot of your meds, supplements, allergies and of course, SS might be the cause? Im finding my allergies really effect my entire body now.

Are you taking liquid diflucan? If you have very low saliva, the pills may not help you because you need the saliva to get the meds to your mouth. Unless you use liquid. Ask for sugar free and hold it in your mouth for about 30 seconds to a minute and then swallow and don't brush/drink for 30 mins if you can.
PS--I was on 250 for a month (yep!) and it didn't seem to matter but my mouth was very, very dry for a long time. It took 3 or 4 months for Salagen to help me.
