Title: Interesting old research paper
Post by: gphx on January 07, 2013, 10:31:12 PM
I haven't been here in a long time. Apologies for that. Been busy dealing with other life issues and just accepted Sjogrens type symptoms as part and parcel of my life.

Today in doing other research I came across an older paper http://cel.webofknowledge.com/InboundService.do?SID=2Ag9eh443F8eA4C953m&product=CEL&UT=A1996UV72900004&SrcApp=Highwire&Init=Yes&action=retrieve&Func=Frame&customersID=Highwire&SrcAuth=Highwire&IsProductCode=Yes&mode=FullRecord (http://cel.webofknowledge.com/InboundService.do?SID=2Ag9eh443F8eA4C953m&product=CEL&UT=A1996UV72900004&SrcApp=Highwire&Init=Yes&action=retrieve&Func=Frame&customersID=Highwire&SrcAuth=Highwire&IsProductCode=Yes&mode=FullRecord) indicating Sjogrens patients have a high incidence of infection with the bacterium H. pylori, the same one subsequently found to cause gastric ulcers.

I thought it was especially interesting since more than one species of bacteria have been noted to cause obesity and some researchers believe infections will eventually be found to be the root causes of diabetes, artheriosclerosis, heart disease, RA, and other diseases.

As it turns out 70% of T2 diabetics have proven dry eye symptoms http://europepmc.org/abstract/MED/8012143/reload=0%3bjsessionid=7322CF2498E350AA2D4C5C9D04CF5EBA

and, like Sjogrens patients, they also have high levels of H. pylori http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2FBF02282318?LI=true

Two populations suffering from dry eye. Two populations suffering high rates of infection with H. pylori. Two populations suffering from endocrine related diseases.

Interesting coincidences at the least.

Rosacea has already been found to respond favorably to antibiotics. It'd be great news if one day Sjogrens patients too could alleviate symptoms with a prescription addressing the cause of their distress.

Welcome Back. This would fit with the material that I have read on Nano-bacteria as being the dormant stages of these infections. It would vindicate the the successes of the Marshal protocol. The questions are in finding all of the bacteria behind this syndrome.

Could also explain why I absolutely CRAVE chili peppers in all their forms - they have been shown to be very effective in killing off H.pylori.... ???

I tested positive for H Pylori when I went for a Sjogrens evaluations at the NIH a few years ago.  They obviously think there is a connection or they wouldn't have included it in some of their tests.

Getting treated for it cleared up some major chronic GI problems I was having and was being treated for.  I guess my GI doc had never though of testing for it.

I just did a zapping session for this bacteria. I feel so much better. I will have to do it again, soon.

Hello. In the past I tested positive for h-pylori, strep aureus, mycoplasma pneumoniae, disentery(shigella)and other stomach infections and have been treated with antibiotcs, I live in a third world country. However, there are no tests for mycoplasma fermentans, and many other mycoplasmas or the tests are very hard to come by. so some believe m. fermentans cause immune diseases :such as sjongrens, lupus, arthritis, etc. and take low dose antibiotics for life,I for one of them, although most doctors dont believe in this treatment or say it's old,BUT DR.THOMAS McPherson Brown cured 10,000-12,OOO patients on it.Then there is lyme disease too.Look up www.rheumatic.org,click Medical histories and look into Jodi,Heide and Marge who have sjongrens; for your  info.
