Hello everyone,
At first all the best for you for 2013! Hopefully with a lot of good days with joy, health and happiness!
I keep a diary on my iPad and now I know I had 88 bad days in 2012. So that's one day out of four. That sounds as a lot but it didn't feel as much...
I'm feeling bad at this moment because I have a virus infection in my labyrinth. Is that the correct word? My head is spinning for ten days now. I hope it will be better soon. Anyone had this too? And if yes, which I do not hope because it is terrible, how long did it take when you felt better?
Take care you all,
Gonzo
Hi Gonzo
I hope 2013 gets better for you because it is obviously not having a good start.
Sorry to hear about the labyrinthitis. It must be awful. I get a bit dizzy when I turn my head but that is just minor compared with what you are suffering. What does your doctor say about it?
I hope you feel better soon.
Take care - Scottie :)
Gonzo, Thanks for the New Year Greeting. My 2012 'diary' has been sporadic at best, but I am 'guestimating' an average of 1 day out of 3. The good days are sooo appreciated - a nice side effect of this disease :) Saturday, I went to the Los Angeles Zoo - about 2 hrs south - with 4 grandkids, my husband and another granny - thank goodness for trams. It was a miracle day!
You have strengthened my resolve to keep a consistent daily record.
Wishing good days ahead for you all and sending my profound appreciation of this group.
Sorry Gonzo. I was so busy writing about keeping a diary and a zoo, I didn't address your current problem. My neighbor has labyrinthitis; the doctor prescribed predisone (I do not know the dosage) and then valacyclovir. This was about 3 wks ago and he has improved greatly.
Hi Scottie and P Trish
Thanks for responding, very kind of you! My doctor says it takes 10 days to feel better and then it can takes months before its completely gone. I have to sit it out because its a virus so antibiotics willn't help.
This is day 10 and it is better than 10 days ago but not enough to go to work. I took my daughter to school, first day after the holidays, so I had to rush this morning. I felt so bad when I got home. Tomorrow my husband will bring here. I hope that I can go to work after this week.
P Trish, what a nice day you had in the zoo! Hope you enjoyed it and that it gave energy in your head. Probably next day your body didn't like it? Hope you will have more of these days this year.
Bye!
Gonzo
Gonzo, I am glad you are better & hope each day shows good progress. It is true that my body did not like me the day after the zoo & I am barely moving today, but it was worth it! I have signed up for yoga - the next step is to actually go - wish me luck :)
I wish you luck P. Trish! ;-) You should go. Exercise is my best medicine. Listen to your body, so you don't do to much, but please go. Try how it feels. I also go when I'm tired. When I feel good I do a serious program, when I don't feel good I exercise like a granny, but I always go. And always feel better when I go home. I know this because I keep my journal. I've learned from my journal that if I don't excercise I feel worse. So my journal keeps me motivated ;-)
Good luck!!!!!
