It has been a stressful couple of days but I did something today that made me laugh til I cried. Hubby didn't think it was funny, Men!!!
I was driving home down our road around dusk today and feeling sad and teary over hubby's deteriorating condition. He was sitting in front with me so I didn't want him to hear me cry and kept it in except for a few tears and the snuffly nose that comes on occasion. I grabbed a kleenex from my pocket and proceeded to blow my nose. Man, I had that tissue folded funny and the mucus went all over. I had to fold the darn thing and try again and then try to get the mucus wiped off my face. It just got worse.
I tried again folding(with one hand you know cause I was driving) the tissue and tried to wipe again. What a mess!!! I looked down at that darn tissue!!! It was not a tissue, it was a purple disposable glove that I had stuck in my pocket. Hey, it made me laugh, but I was desperately in need of humor!!! Irish

Laughter is valuable. Sorry that your hubby's condition is deteriorating. Your predicament made me laugh too though.

I'm laughing with you but I wanna know about the glove? haha I work in healthcare so that's the kind of stuff I would do LOL. My kids are always giving me grief. :D CK

Irish, I put a laughable situation on here, but it's a bit long winded but I think you can sympathize.
Ewww....bad enough 'boogey nose'...'boogey face' What is the matter here? spell check does not know 'boogey'
My kids found some of the gloves from when I was with special needs students.
Mom what is this? "Oh...just blow it up."
Days later: "Mom can you get more?"

My husband thinks I laugh at goofy things sometimes so he would be non-laughing with your hubby. But sometimes we just gotta laugh at our own quirkiness!
Hope things ease up some as I can't imagine having this disease & being the caretaker.

I bet you were thinking what the heck is up with this tissue..and then when you used it and everything just went ppppffttttt everywhere..i can just see your face...well actually no I can't since we have never met! But I can just see my face and it would have been that of surprise and then rolling laughter..next i would have probably had to pull over..or peed myself!
but, oh my sweet...i am sorry. I do not know how hard this is for you..already with your own illnesses and then having your husband getting sicker is just too, too much! You should not have to be doing this. Nor should any of us...but we do. These stupid illnesses are just so overwhelming and unfair !!
But you are the ever ready rabbit..haha..you just keep going and going and going and going...there was an old timex commercial that you might remember..it is what I feel like most of the time..the slogan was ''it takes a beating ..and keeps on ticking"...

On Fri evening hubby and I talked with some friends on the phone. I told the little story about my glove issue. On Sat morning about 7:30 AM the phone rang and it was our friends again. He was talking and laughing about his wife and I could hear all this commotion in the background. They had the phone on speaker and there was such a racket.
Turns out she woke up early thinking about me and my purple glove and got the giggles big time. She had been laughing so hard that he finally called so I could hear her. I had never heard her laugh so hard and I have known her 30 years. She was laughing so hard I could just pick out a word here and there. I finally figured out that she had started an antidepressant a couple of days ago and she was blaming the pill for her laughing jag. Time will tell.
All I know is that her endorphin level should be on top of the clouds. Those good laughing jags are so much therapy for us all. Irish

Well, you certainly made your friends' day, didn't you? ;D I can just see myself if I tried the same thing with a purple latex glove; except I have the opposite problem and never have "snotties" anymore.
Under stress, we really need a good laugh. Sometimes it can come from the most unexpected places! You gave us all a good laugh and I know you've needed one lately.
