Hi - :D
Last week I bought myself a Wii with some gift money I got. I've wanted one for years, so I decided to just DO IT, and buy it for myself. :)
Our son set it up yesterday and we were playing around with it. We did the Fitness test and my age according to that is 41. Not bad, I'll take that (considering I'm in my mid 50's ;D ). I haven't played with a Wii in years, and took this fitness test with no warm-up or anything - so, I'm hoping with practice to lower my age. ;)
Early this morning (1:30 a.m.) as my son and I were playing the Wii, I took the Fitness test again. This time, I'm 40 . . . . so, I'm glad the numbers are going d-o-w-n and not up. :)
Does anyone else have a Wii that you use? Want to have some friendly competition and we can compare scores? The only games I've played so far are the tennis, baseball and bowling. We did try golf in the Wii Sports Resort . . . . I am NOT a golfer . . . that was pitiful!
Anyone up for some competition?
Bucky
Good for you Mrs Bucky!
It's about a year since I did some (minimal) work on the wii. My co-ordination is poor, so at that time, I concentrated on the balance tasks. I remember one was heading footballs, and avoiding other objects. Another was balancing on ice.
I can't offer to be competitive, but will think about braving the wii again soon. I'm just a bit worried about the telling off I will get when I boot it up:)

Hi Bucky :)
I also have a Wii. I need to get my arm back though! Cannot even cope with the hulahoop right now! Should be able to bowl left handed - but I can't!
I thoroughly enjoyed mine when my hubby n kids were competing with me, once they stopped I got bored without the competition. I'll look for it and try n get it set back up, I need some exercise REAL BAD!
XOXO
Ldy
Come on, Kathyx and Ldy - dig out that Wii, dust it off, plug it in and let's play! :D
I was ready to take the Wii back to the store and tell them it was broke when I did my Fitness test Friday and I went from a 41 yr. old to 50!!! How dare they!! However, everything is good on Saturday when I tested and it said 37!! Woohoo . . . I guess it's not broke after all! ;)
I'm really bad at baseball on there. I can hit the ball, but I can't get "home-runs" which racks up more points and fitness for a person. My son gets all home-runs . . . . show-off!! LOL
I do okay on tennis, but hit too many balls out of court . . . . they just need to make a bigger court, it's that simple!
My saving grace is my bowling scores . . . whew.
Scottie - once your arm is all healed again, pull out that Wii and we'll work on it together.
Bucky
So you didn't age gracefully, Mrs Bucky?
I'll get my son to fix the Wii up for me when he comes home sometime this week. I dread to think what the fitness test will reveal, ut I'll let you know my Wii age.
Hugs
Kathyx
You have motivated me to dust off my Wii fit and get busy. Thank you!
I certainly need to exercise and was missing the pool. This will be fun again. I love biking around the island and jogging and skiing, etc. . . . .
