I won tickets to TSO concert. a light/music concert months back. The lights drove me crazy we left early, within hours I was in a flare. Yesterday morning I went to my opthamologist appt. He ran a lot of tests to get a base line for plaquenil. Most were flashing lights, including an extra flashing one the machine wasn't suppose to do. All while I was dilated. :'(now I'm in another flare. I was looking forward to going to see the large Christmas light displays but now I'm thinking umm no. Does anyone else have trouble with lights? Both were a lot of blinking like lights the concert was laser lights n loud music. He prescribed restasis and FML and said the plaquenil will require having these tests 1-2 times a year and the fml will require some test I think just a pressure test. He also mentioned plugs, said we'd talk about it next time. I'm still fairly new to plaquenil like maybe 5-6 weeks I duno but omg is this crap worth it?

I'm having trouble with lights hurting my eyes. Now that you mention it I can see minor flares after too much computer etc.
I decided to stop taking it after two months. Not worth it at all.
I hate that flashy light test at the opthamologist! Ha!
Feel better and definitely tell your dr's!
actually there is some documentation that fluorescent lights have been known to cause strokes, seizures, and fainting spells. Even the new energy efficient bulbs have been known to cause problems like this as well. I hope you feel better soon.

I have a hard time with lights, too. I've always had eye pain after eye checkups, but I have blamed it on the brightness due to dilation. The vision field test (blinking lights) is done while I'm dilated, too, so maybe that is to blame. More likely it's the combination!
Time will tell you whether the plaquenil is helpful to you. I hope it is!
