This is the first time I've looked at the boards for a while. I broke my humerus at the end of August and this is really the first time I've managed to use the laptop. My arm really is still not working very well!
Any way I'm back but will prolly not be typing a lot.
Looks like things have been busy!

Thanks Judy. Yeah it has been painful. It's made me nervous about going out on my own too because I'm scared of falling again. Now I'm healin I MUST go out though - if only to get away from daytime TV! :)

Scottie, Glad to see you back. Man, that must be a bummer. I would think that just the thought of falling gives you the bejibbers. Hope you are enjoying being away from the TV. There isn't much on in the states either. Right now we are priming for an election and we are all worn out from all the ads and hype. I think the commentators must be all sleep deprived at this point. Irish

Thanks for the welcome back.
I'm feeling a little depressed today. I saw the consultant yesterday and he is disppointed by lack of obvious bone growth on x-ray. He manipulated my arm and thinks there is catilage growth that does not really show up well on x-ray. Am to wear the humeral brace for at least another 4 weeks. My arm is quite sore again today and i think it is from him moving it around. Am so tired of sleeping in a chair! Am now waiting for an appointment for a bone density scan. (I actually think my bone density is probably OK. I am overweight and fell suddenly and heavily and landed on either a paint tin or a tool box and am not surprised it snapped my arm.) Glad I didn't hit my head!
