There is a movie on Norman Cousins. His theory was that humor promotes endorphin release and helps you fight every disease.

Kill Bill (it's not a comedy but I couldn't help laughing at most of it - it's as if the filmmaker is poking fun at various film genres)
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (I like Michael Caine)
Some of Woody Allen's movies are funny, like Manhattan Murder Mystery, Radio Days, Lost in Yonkers, Vickie Christina Barcelona - I like his sarcasm
I find Helen Mirren funny in many of her roles "Stop calling me Mum, I'm not the bloody Queen Mother"
We're watching Volver at the moment (Penelope Cruse is funny)
