Title: CHEMO UPDATE
Post by: Cricket on August 30, 2012, 05:08:10 PM
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT!!

They went very slow and we had no problems until they got to 66 drops a minute, then I got a terrible headache so they stopped the drip and gave saline only half an hour then started the drip again at 33 and increased slowly again.  It took 6 1/2 hrs.

Got home to a room of grandchildren who looked me over to make sure y
I was the same.  My granddaughter wanted to know if I glowed now, lol!
Then around 7 pm I felt tired and my stomach was a little queasy, so I went to bed!
Today my asthma really kicked in and I have been tired, I think it is from the hard time breathing.
Well tomorrow is another day, got to go get my hair colored even if I crawl cause the9 th we have a wedding in the family.  I have a huge family and we all enjoy getting together.

Nighty night

Yes rest up especially for the wedding.
I don't know whether the hair color will take with your chemo. Did you ask the dr about this?  You ARE adding more chemicals to your system you know. It may not seem important but ASK!

Did the dr tell you about possible symptoms with your chemo? Fatigue is definitely one of them. Everyone is different on the symptoms so remember to give yourself a break when you need to.

I just finished my 5th chemo on August 29th and am on the prednisone for 5 days yet.

Good Luck!

Cricket i am so glad you are doing well. I said a prayer for you. Just something I really believe in.

Weddings are so nice to go to. It's also nice getting together with family, and enjoying them.

Get your hair all colored and fixed, then rest some. You will be the bell of the ball.  :)
