I still have blood in my urine, still have pain in my pelvic area. Urine test does not show infection and ultrasound came out fine. They dont know where the blood is coming from. The doctor said it was a moderate amount. I went to my rheumy today and she said her tests showed the blood is still there. She left it as that; she doesn't seem concern. Should I be concern? Is this blood just waiting to get worse or is it normal to have a little blood in your urine? My rheumy also told me that at least I dont have lupus. She says lupus is worse and can affect other areas of the body. Makes me wonder about her.
I had a few drops of blood in my urine earlier in the summer. Saw my PCP and she said there is no amount of blood in urine that is normal. Sent me to a urologist. Honestly I thought it was Overkill.
He did a cystoscopy and found bladder cancer. It was found early and removed. I don't tell you this to worry you, but so that you can ask for a referral to a urologist. Urine and urinary system is their specialty, at least it would be a urinary specialist telling you if this is normal for you.

I've always been told there should be no amount of blood in you urine.
Please dont panic, but have it dealt with.
I know we dont need antibiotics for everything but maybe you should ask to try that and see if it goes away.
I have had stones/crystals in my bladder 3 times. Each time I was taking calcium supplement. It never showed up as an infection but caused blood in my urine.
Not a good sign. Get to your doctor, please.
Interesting as I've had blood in the urine for the last ten years or so (ever since its been checked), and the doctors didn't know why either until an ultrasound was done. Kidney cysts were found and the docs are saying that is the reason for the blood. Weird.
By all means talk to your primary about it, and see if she thinks you should be referred to a urologist.

Over the last few years I had one UTI after another until I was put on a low dose of maintenance antibiotics which I am still on. I almost always have blood show up in my urine tests which scared the heck out of me at first since I also heard there should be no blood in the urine.
I have since been to 2 different urologists throughout my course of looking for an answer and both have run tests, scans, and a cystocopy. Everything is clear, but it definitely needs to be checked out by a specialist before you can assume you are ok especially if it is accompanied by pain.

Yes any amount of blood in your urine needs to be investigated even if the 'normal' tests don't show anything. After many years I was finally diagnosed with the rare Loin Pain Haematuria Syndrome which basically means I have pain and I bleed though no damage is done to my kidneys. Something I've never given a thought to since. Mental note to self must research if it is in any way linked to all my new Dx!
So look for an answer-and it doesn't neccessarily have to be anything sinister but will give you peace of mind

I agree, no blood is normal. Do not panic but do pursue it to get an answer. There can be hundreds of reasons for it, almost all treatable. Ask questions until YOU are satisfied. Urologist vary just like GP's do. Find the one that fits you. Good luck!
Yes, go to a urologist. You may even be passing very tiny stones.
