I found a little light spot on my face close to my eye and every day it gets bigger, anyone have this problem? Does it come from Sjogren's?
Hi shevonne....Gosh I have such STRANGE skin issues. I get this spot, that spot and some worry me, and some I think are aging spots although I am only 56.
Like with anything skin related IF you can please see a dermatologist if this concerns you at all.
Better safe than sorry. I never doubt anyone. And if it is a concern, then I say don't poo-poo it:)
Keep us posted. Hopefully this is just a little nothing, but again better safe than sorry...

My sister started getting white spots on her skin. Not sure if it started with just one spot or they appeared all at one time.
The doc told her it was "sun spots" and said to bath in Selson Blue instead of using her regular soap. So she did that regularly and the spots went away. She hasn't had them again.
That's all I know on the subject.

There is an autoimmune condition called vitiligo that can cause white spots but I don't know if it starts with just one. It is not specifically related to Sjogren's but autoimmune stuff can travel in 'packs'.
I hope you find out what ius causing it and find a remedy.

I have a coworker friend with vitiligo and hers is just 1 small spot by her mouth. she puts a steroid ointment on it that she got from her dermatologist to keep it from getting bigger. I am not sure if she has to be on any other meds for it, or just the ointment. You might want to see the dermatologist about it if it is getting bigger.

Is the spot a bump? or just regular skin that is lighter?

A while back my little granddaughter asked me, "Mamom, why are your arms polka-dotted?" I have noticeable white spots on my arms and legs (not bumps in my case, but lack of pigment.) I assume it's either from years of sun exposure or something autoimmune, like vitiligo.
I hope you don't get any more spots. Since you can see changes from day to day, I agree that you should probably get it checked out by a dermatologist.

not sure what your white spot is. Definatly need a dermatologist to know for sure. I have sun spots . My daughter has that skin infection that you need to use the dandruff shampoo. My husband has vitiligo.. Thankfully, none of these are painful or dangerous.. Well, my husbands vitiligo can get soar at times.. Especially when exposed to sun without sunscreen..

Vitiligo --- isn't that what Michael Jackson had? Why he couldn't be in the sun?
I read where he also had Lupus. Maybe he was a sjoggie, too! Maybe that's why he couldn't sleep!

I have the same white spots on my arms like Cheryl mentioned. I have lots of freckles on my arms and then these white spots all mixed it. It really looks horrible. It has gotten worse over the last 2 years just like everything else Sjogren's related. I figured it was from the sun and medication.
The first time Cheryl and I met for lunch about a year ago we pulled up our shirt sleeves and laughed about our twin speckled forearms! It's one of the ways I knew she was truly a kindred spirit.
