Title: Summer Making Symptoms Worse
Post by: Billydude on August 02, 2012, 08:09:49 AM
I haven't even logged on to this site in a very long time.  So long that I had to refigure out how to use it.   I tend to reach out for answers and community when I'm not feeling good but when I'm feeling good I don't join in.   So you can guess why I'm back on.

I always felt that the summer's were the worse time for me.  It always heightened my symptoms.  But the last two summers I felt great so I thought I was over all of that.   Now,  this summer its back.

I wonder if any  of you feel that you can't manage the heat at all and it makes your nervous system go haywire?   I can't control my body temperatue,  I'm always exhaused and feel confused at times.   I'm also feeling panicky at the same time and feel weird sensations in my wrists.

I recently started working just one day a week and it doesn't help that its in a shop that is very hot.   I don't feel very calm when too much is going on....making stupid mistakes,  incorrect change.    I'm thinking of firing myself.    I wonder if added stress is putting me back into a flare.

It is nice to know you are still around. I have been living in the house with AC on. I avoid going out.

It sounds like you may be heading to a flair. I hope that you can recover quickly.

YES.....ME TOO LIVING WITH THE AC ON.   I hated having to go to work my one day a week job.  It was nearly 100 here.  I work in an antiques shop that happens to have tons of lamps which doesn't help.

Hi Billydude,

It's nice to see you again but I'm sorry for the reason you are back here and that you are not feeling well. I think there are so many people having trouble with this crazy summer heat...I know I am and don't know what I would do without my AC and fans in the house, at work, and in the car.

It may be a combination for you (with the heat and the added stress) that you are going into a flare. We do know that stress can only make matters worse for us....a viscous circle. I hope you get some relief soon...keep us posted!

Billydude..same here with me. The summers driving me nuts, especially with the allergens this year. If I walk outside, get an instant aura migraine. I also noticed I feel better in the winter? go figure. Guess I need to move to the north pole or something.. ha ha.
(then the Raynauds would be bad right? cant win!)

hang in there...

This summer has been my most difficult yet, one long flare with prednisone increase helping slightly--- usually I feel more relief.

So many beautiful sunny cloudless days; careful to use sunscreen & cover up when out. Haven't done usual dog walking since spring, paying a dog walker. Will be stopping that this weekend as I can't afford the luxury any more:)

There is something different about this summer I can't quite put my finger on........

Billydude - Paul - welcome back.

I wondered how you were doing, and remember the awesome video you made.

Sorry you are feeling so bad. I can't empaphise, as it's not very warm at all here in the UK, but I can send you my best wishes.

Hello Billydude  :)

Welcome back! Sorry it must mean that you're feeling poorly again though. I'm not keen on summer either. Too much sunlight and my thermostat is broken! Not high temperatures in the UK though.

Take care - Scottie  :)

Yeah....my head is just in a fog.  I'm so dissapointed because I had such a long stretch of feelin good.    I have a new doctor since mine moved away so I'm having to break him in so to speak.   I've only seen him once already and I need to be selective about what I complain about because he doesn't know me yet and I don't want him to have an immediate reaction that I'm making it up.
Yup....something about this summer!!

I actually think the summer is worse for us because of all the allergens..causes widespread inflammatory responses..my guess anyways?
The temp changes too.....
