Title: Surgery Biopsy Results
Post by: lighthouse33 on July 26, 2012, 12:13:18 PM
I got results of my mole removal surgery.  Dysplastic nevus on the high end of severe close to melanoma.  The margins were clean - no cells were found in the margins.  Not normal but not cancer.

Stitches removed today.  Resumption of normal activities.  Can't wait to bathe, wear my weight vest on the treadmill and get back to some heavy lifting duties around the house.

Can't tell you how relieved I am!  Thank you for all your best wishes etc.

Lighthouse, that must be a huge relief to you. But don't try to do too much too  soon. You don't want to go into a flare at this stage.

Great news, good you keep checking! Keep up the good work and don't start off to hard in all your work. With no stitches the wound can bust open. I had one that did and took 6 months to finally close and I have a .50 cent piece size scar... UGLY...

GReat news, Lighthouse. Sort of a "close doesn't count except in horseshoes". Hope you can relax and enjoy the weather when it cools down some. Irish

Great news, lighthouse!  As others have said, please try to take it easy getting back to the treadmill and such.

Take care,
Melinda
