Title: Had 6 hours of dental work done today...
Post by: shawnbilton on July 19, 2012, 02:40:51 AM
...and it went well...I was sedated...I got sjs, never had a cavity before, and I had 12 teeth (back 3 on each side, top and bottom) each with 1-3 sides cavities and my amazing dentist fixed them all like new! The pain is gone from cavity-sensitivity, and he told me he get rid of 100% of the decay...he fave me several instructions, another supply of 1.1% sodium dlourise toothpaste, 3-4 biotene travel bags full of supplies and my teeth look and feel like new!  He said that he will work with me and with my compliance to his instructions, my teeth should be in good shape for the rest of my life...praise the Lord! God is good and I'm so thankful for my dentist...if anyone else is around South Carolina, let me know so you can stop by for an appointment with him too!

...so thankful!

Shawn,
I'm so glad that your dental work went so smoothly for you.   It does sound as if you have an outstanding dentist!

It does sound like you have a real hero for a dentist. Glad you're doing well with all the work too. I get woozy after a cleaning, can't imagine dealing w/all that.

eat well, my friend!

Shawn,
I, too, had no problems with my teeth until Sjogrens.  Then all heck broke loose.  I've had a couple of cavities but my

big issue is that I keep cracking teeth.  Since the Sjogrens came on, my teeth are super sensitive and I've

developed a real phobia about going in to the dentist.  So like you, I've gotten a dentist who does work under

sedation and it is awesome!  They are really good about putting on numbing gels, etc., when I'm just having a

cleaning so that I won't have that awful pain when they touch the sensitive areas.  I wish I'd seen this doc sooner!

;DWould have saved a LOT of anxiety.
