I have in the past... they thought MS... nope... they thought CCD... nope... it's just plain ol sjogren's..
Be careful! If it is new or getting worse call your Dr right away.

Someone just mentioned this on the board here and it was the first I'd heard that it could be SJS. It IS new and I'm supposed to see a neurologist in 2 wks. I feel very ill right now. We drove back from Texas Friday .. 12 hours .. and 5 hrs of driving on Thursday. I'm so sick!!

The numbness began one week after getting a steroid shot in my foot. I'm really afraid that the Lyme has gotten the upper hand on me. OR .. is it the SJS??

Jazzlover I hope you feel better soon. When I was walking into the kitchen about an hour ago, My left leg felt like it was going down without any notice.

That is the first time I have had that happen.

I have bouts where I feel like my knees are going to buckle backwards, and my arms have gone "tingly"

But I have to admit, I could stand to have some numbness in my hips right now. I might be able to get a good nights sleep if so.

Hope you get some answers. let us know if you do.

Hi!  My right side - arm, leg, face - have been somewhat to totally numb since December.  Getting slowly better, face is now pretty much ok, but hand and lower leg/foot still either numb or pins/needles tingling.  Sjogren's CNS symptoms.  No MS or stroke after much testing.

Get it checked out, though to make certain.  Good luck.  I'd like to hear what you find out.

I'm wondering if I got too dehydrated while traveling last week? and then yesterday I had to travel for an appointment. I crashed and burned last night. I may have gotten dehydrated again.. or just overdid it.

(How hard is sitting in a car??)

Jazzlover!

Drink extra, relax and be careful when you try to move around... Stick your tongue out, is it straight, have someone look... trouble talking? anything different, if so, go to ER... Can you get in sooner to the neuro? Call them them your symptoms... Maybe they can order a test now that you could get done before the appt.
Sending hugs... and yes, sitting in a car could be exhausting... depends on the driver. I am okay if I drive and terrible if my husband drives... his driving scares me!

Haha... my husband scares me too.. but he's really a good driver. I've had two major whiplashes so am very afraid of having another wreck. It would be disastrous.

No, I  know it's not a stroke... though I am at high risk for one. I'll call tomorrow for any cancellations. I've wondered too about testing.

Thanks so much for your help, my friend! :)

My legs "fall asleep" a lot and sometimes very easily.  I tend to sit on my feet while at my desk.  I know it isn't good for me but it is just more comfortable for me at times than to have them dangling down to the floor.  But even when I'm sitting at my desk properly, I will have times that I need to get up and my lower legs and feet have fallen asleep.  It doesn't really bother me personally that much so it is one of those things that I don't bother to talk about.
