:-\ Rheumy started me on Salagen and after two days I was so sick i could hardly lift my head. Just switched to Evoxac yesterday - first dose in the afternoon, second last night, third this morning. I am totally nauseated. Does the nausea go away if you keep taking it? How long does it take?
Never had nausea with Evoxac. I wonder if you only took one per day for a week or two, your poor stomach would acclimate to it or if you would have a reaction no matter what.

Try to give it some time and see if this side effect diminishes. You could take it with a small amount of food or awhile but it does work better when taken on an empty stomach.
Sorry to hear you are having such a rough time. For me, I absolutely need the Evoxac so I put up with a lot of side effects but it does get better with time.

Thanks, folks! You cheer me up. I have bad reactions to so many medications (there are literally no antibiotics I can take), that i despair when I begin to have one again. I will hang in there with the Evoxac - the idea of dropping down to one a day to start is very helpful, and I will try doing it for awhile. I really appreciate your help. :)
Diane63, I do not have a problem with antibiotics like you but I will often use frequency (tones) to kill bacteriological infections. The device cost me $250. I made the hand holds for an additional $60. It has made a definite improvement in my health and that of my family.
Joe, what is the device called?
I had nausea for the first several weeks, along with diarrhea. Three months later, the nausea is gone and only occasionally do I have any other side effects. I say, wait it out. Hope it works for you. :)
I use a pgsu250 dual trace Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, and frequency Generator from Vellum industries. It is programmable from my computer and will generate all of the frequencies and wave shapes I am using.
The Hulda Clark Frequencies kill most parasites: bacteria, worms, mold, virus.
First real post! I have been a side-effect "magnet" all my life; whatever side effects a med has, I will experience it, plus some no one else has had. If you're standing close to me and take meds, I'll experience your side effects too ::)
My Rheumy knows this about me and was concerned about prescribing Evoxac, even wanted an update after the 2nd week of use as to if I was able to handle the side effects. I bought empty pill capsules (Amazon), emptied HALF the Evoxac capsule into the empty pill capsule and officially started my Evoxac script. Taking half a pill 3 times a day caused me virtually no side effects, with some benefit. Also emptying half into another capsule to take later, means no waste of a very expensive med. After a few weeks, I went up to 2/3rds of a pill, and I feel more of the benefit of a moist mouth, even eyes feel better, and still relatively nil side effects, to the point that I'll probably stay here at 2/3rds. It's a bit of a pain having to open each pill, but this works for me...maybe it can for you too, if side effects are very problematic. It's worth the effort as I REALLY like this med, it is effective and helps me function more normally and makes me feel better overall.
Also, this forum is truly first-class; informative, supportive...I have spent alot of time researching the archives on issues I am dealing with and without the detailed, honest input of those active here, I would feel lost. Thank you all.
Thanks for the info about the magic gizmo, Joe! I'm going to look into it. And GP, glad to know someone else is coping with the drug sensitivities, too, although I certainly wouldn''t wish that on you! I am new to the Forum, too and I have learned a lot and feel less "crazy" since talking to folks here. Welcome. :D
