hi all.
we've been roughing it. we live in the country and at 6pm friday until 6:30am today (monday) no electric d/t terrible storm. no phone, no water, no DSL either.
and it was HOT as well.
so grateful we have it back, others in central Ohio may not get their electric back on till July 7th of later.........

ahhhhhhh theres nothing like power....
we went three days once without power because of TS Frances, and when it came back on i think i heard angels humming ;D
Glad your power is back - it's really tough when you lose it when it's so hot out.
My brother lives in the Columbus area and he said it looked like a war zone with all the downed trees. Worse than when Ike rolled through.
We become so accustomed to electricity, that when we lose it, we feel lost. I can handle the no lights - it's the no a/c or heat that's rough. I feel sorry for the people who lost all their food in refrigerators / freezers.
We live out in a rural area, so we invested in a small generator - best money we ever spent! (not that we've used it that often, but when we need it, it's a lifesaver!)
All us Sjoggies should make sure we have plenty of bottled water on hand should there be an extended power outage and no water in our homes.

My mom in Southern Ohio & just got hers on today (Tues.) So glad for you both as there are still many without power. My stepfather cannot handle the heat at all & if they didn't get power today I was buying a generator & taking it to them (the stores sold out down there)
I'm thinking of buying a generator now just to have (& bottled water too Bucky)!!

I'm glad you have your power back.. We never really think about it that much until we don't have it..
That storm knocked out our cable here for 2 days and we live in TN... From what I heard it got a large portion of Time Warner's cable..
